How do I get started?
To get started, you’ll need to create an account. Once you’ve created an account, you can make purchases and register for classes and/or personal training services.
Do I have to register for a class and/or personal training services before I arrive or can I just show up?
It is recommended that you pre-register to reserve your spot. If you don’t pre-register, you’re welcome to register on site. A staff member will be happy to assist you with registration.
Do I have to join to take classes?
No, you do not have to join to take classes You may purchase a ten class package or an individual drop in pass.
What is included in the membership?
A membership, as well as a ten class package and individual drop in pass, gives you access to all classes on the schedule. Personal training is not included in a membership.
Do I have to have a membership to do personal training?
No, you do not need a membership to do personal training.
Do you offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced level classes?
Yes. Body Blast Brave is a boot camp style class for beginner to intermediate participants. Body Blast Blitz is better suited for advanced participants. All of the other classes on the schedule are designed to accommodate all fitness levels.
Do I need to bring any of my own equipment?
You simply bring a positive attitude and you’re all set! For the Body Blast classes, you may wish to bring your favorite jump rope. If you don’t have a jump rope, you may use one of ours.
Do I need special shoes for cycling class?
Cycling shoes are not required. If you do have cycling shoes, you’ll need spd hardware on the bottom of your shoes.
Are the seats comfortable?
Ha! While you won’t feel like you’re sitting in your grandpa’s recliner, the seats on the bikes are not unbearable. We recommend padded cycling shorts or a padded gel seat.
Do I need to get there early for a cycling class?
Yes. If it is your first class, you should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class so your instructor can set you up on your bike. If you already know your bike set up, you will still want to arrive with plenty of time to put your things away in the cubbies provided and set up your bike. Please make every effort to be on time. For your safety, the safety of other participants, and for the sake of common courtesy, it’s important that you do not show up late for class. If class is already in progress and you have missed the warm up, you may be denied entry into class.
What if I register for a class but I find out I can't make it?
Please cancel your registration for that class as soon as possible. You may also call or text East Carolina Cycling & Fitness to cancel.
What is the policy on late cancellations and no-shows?
If you cancel within 8 hours of the start of a class, that class will be deducted from your class package. If you purchased an individual drop in pass, you will lose that class. If you have a membership, your card on file in your account will be charged $10.
What is the late cancellation and no-show policy for personal training?
If you cancel within 24 hours of your personal training session, that session will be deducted from your personal training package.
